Over 4,500 moves completed in 7 days at Yilport Liscont terminal, coordinated by Euronave

From August 19 to 25, 2024, the Port of Lisbon was the stage for a large-scale logistics operation involving vessel swapping and container transshipment for COSCO Shipping and Diamond Line, at the Yilport Liscont terminal. This operation, coordinated by Euronave – agent for both companies – marked a milestone, being the first of its kind for both the company and the port terminal.

Over the course of seven days, more than 4,500 loading and unloading moves were carried out in a continuous 24-hour operation. The MVS Xin Nan Tong unloaded 1,136 containers, totaling 1,868 TEUs, and loaded 1,073 containers, amounting to 1,961 TEUs. The MVS Navios Vermilion unloaded 1,087 containers (1,942 TEUs) and loaded 1,207 containers (2,013 TEUs).

This complex operation took place during a particularly challenging time, given the usual vacation period. However, thanks to the dedication and teamwork of all those involved, the operation was successfully completed. Abel Rodrigues, Euronave's Business Operations Manager, expressed his gratitude to all employees for their hard work and resilience. "This achievement is a testament to the strength of our teamwork and the expertise of our people." he emphasized.
